While these billboards have touched upon many failures of the BJP Govt, Sanjay Nirupam said, “The BJP Govt had announced initiatives like Make in India and Magnetic Maharashtra in order to facilitate investment and generate employment respectively. But nothing of what was promised has been delivered. CIDCO Land scam worth Rs. 1700 Crore in Navi Mumbai was executed by duping eight Koyna Dam Project-affected families. Violence against women in Mumbai has risen by 3 times. More than 16000 farmers have committed suicide in the past 4 years. The farmers are starving to death but the Govt is still not waiving off their loans. All these realities reflect the insensitivity of the BJP Govt towards the people”.
The Mumbai Congress Unit Chief urged the common people to being about a change, overthrow the current Govt and save the nation. Almost 200 such Billboards have been put up across prominent locations in Mumbai like Worli Sea-face, Western Express Highway, Sena Bhavan, Crawford Market, Worli Naka, Lokhandwala, Dadar, Fort, Borivali Market and Andheri Market among others.
